This painting was in the Berning Up Brooklyn! exhibit at The Paper Box, 2015. All artists were asked to make an artwork inspired by a Bernie Sander's speech. I chose to address his commitment to ending private prisons and his promise to make college tuition-free. The frame is decorated with torn newspaper articles about the corruption of the private prison industry and statistics about the prison population.
